Had to give a birthday treat, so what could be better than watching a movie
The new Harry Potter exceeded almost all of my expectations, since I am not a reader I do remain faith full to the HP movies.
It's not easy being a movie lover, with all the wide range of blockbusters going to hit the theaters this xmas season, all I have to do is watch and decide if the movie is good enough? Not exactly, I try to take a deeper look into details, the effort and simplicity with which the movies makers present to us, and of course, of all their hearts they put into it, I somehow think they do this because they understand that the viewers are becoming increasingly critical of what they watch, lovers of movies such as Transformers are decreasing at an alarming rate, something that I heart fully appreciate, not that the first one was that bad, Its just that some movie makers think that spending a humongous amount of money on firecrackers and CGI is enough to deliver a blockbuster, I mean Director Chris Nolan uses all of it, yet delivers his masterpiece INCEPTION, this movie my friends, I recommend to all movie lovers, I have already watched it like 20 times!!
OK, so the new HP movie which opens up the road for the last one in which we will witness the epic battle,
did not disappoint and was done with perfection, the actors are excellent and I think they can't justify their roles better than this!!
So you see my friends, movie directing is a subtle art, it requires understanding at a certain level and enjoyment at a higher level. It needs the watcher to both intelligent and appreciative, without which one cannot enjoy any movie whatsoever but can still remain a boring criticizer, believe me there are a lotsa these!!
I guess Indian cinema needs to learn a lot than spending money on boring love stories involving a girl and a guy obviously, a girl and three/two guys sometimes. It is pretty clear what they try to do, aim at the box office, because people here will watch almost anything, there are many people here in India, but I still love it!!
Certain movies such as the recent Guzaarish is an eye opener, finally Bhansali got it right!
A message to Indian directors and writers, they get these a lot! Please! Please try to bring more sense in your movies, don't try to be creative, just be true, epics such as Sholay ans DDLJ didn't require creativity at all!
